With a curious heart, I became certified as an end of life doula in 2022 through the International End of Life Doula Association. This work, complements my education, public speaking and writing backgrounds.
As an End of Life Doula I am trained to provide comfort, creative decisions and compassion during the end-of-life experience. I provide non-medical care, respite, legacy and life review, advanced care planning, bedside presence, companionship, and sacred space. I am honored to be invited into one’s sacred and intimate space from diagnosis to death. I will remain through the grief reprocessing period with families for up to 90 days.
I also help the dying discern how to close out their journey in the most creative way possible by creating unique and personal vigils, legacy projects and funeral services. I can help you get your papers in order, write obituaries and eulogies. I also help people decide what to do with the remind of the body. You don't need to have a terminal diagnosis to request these services. I am currently a volunteer at Red Willow Hospice in Taos, New Mexico.
